Laurie is Founder and CEO of Valuable Resources, Co. (VRC). VRC is a Human Resources consulting and workplace training agency. She founded Valuable Resources, Co. in 2003 after being adversely affected in the corporate world. As a result, she has devoted her career to working as a strategic partner integrating HR strategy with business strategy for a variety of industries and clients, including manufacturing, specialty schools, private equity firms, M&A, insurance and municipalities.

Further, to compliment her creativity and passion for workplace culture, in 2012 she and her team created a unique training format for harassment prevention, called Taboo Topix. Taboo Topix is Valuable Resources Co.’s workplace harassment prevention training program delivered through live theatre.

Her team of HR trainers and professional actors travel across the country to reenact real-life scenarios and prompt discussion about preventing workplace harassment. Taboo Topix creates an experience to show what harassment really looks and feels like.

Each performance is personalized to her clients’ needs and industry, and the audience is engaged with a facilitated discussion providing solutions to avert these situations at their office. Once employees learn to identify harassment, they are better prepared to prevent it.

Laurie holds a Master’s Degree in human resources management with a concentration in organizational development. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in English and pre law minor. She is a published author, speaker, educator and an adjunct instructor for students receiving their MBA. Her career has been rewarding working with other owners, HR Professionals and executives to turn companies around by specializing in change management, culture transformation and compliance education.
